籌款 Fund Raising

這段時間是民主黨一年一度的籌款期，我們是出了名的窮黨，不像別的政黨，有大商家大財團支持，所以只能獲上街籌款了。

如果不下雨的話，星期四我會在黃竹坑籌款，希望大家支持。

It's our fund raising period these days. My party is a poor one which has no tycoon or influential businessman support. All our income is collected from the donation from the public.

I'll raise donatoin on the coming Thursday afternoon. Hope it's not raining that day.

倡議消防局用地改建為南區綜合政府大樓 Planning of Aberdeen Fire Station

上月25日我在區議會提出討論香港仔消防局(名為香港仔，其實位於黃竹坑)搬遷後的規劃安排，因消防局將於2012年搬遷，我們不希望屆時消防局因沒有及時規劃而丟空多年，間接浪費資源。

這是自去年民主黨提議在黃竹坑邨內興建文娛中心及在區內政府土地興建「 綜合政府大樓」的跟進工作。今期的《 南區新聞》的報道，網友評深宜論亦著文詳細講及此事，可見：http://pingsum.blogspot.com/2009/06/blog-post_3582.html

我們主要的理據是興建「 綜合政府大樓」有助減少公帑，因為南區各個部門的辦事處現時租用不同商廈，租金費用現時雖然不清楚，但相信數目龐大；同時，將各個部門集中在政府大樓，不僅便利各部門溝通，且方便市民查詢或到政府部門登記及辦理其他相關事務。(目前全港十八區只有南區沒有綜合政府大樓。)

區議會的討論結果一如預期，署方沒有給出確實的回覆，但表示聽到我們的訴求，不會讓土地長期空置。我會長期跟進這個提議。

I raised a discussion item in the Southern District Council to discuss the planning of Aberdeen Fire Station(it's located in WCH actually) after its removal in 2012. I propose to use the land as a governmental complex in order to save public money and make the public service more user-friendly, because the gov't departments are located at different areas in the Southern, and the rent is very expensive I suppose. All these problems are because we don't have a governmental complex in the Southern.

And, we should have a better planning or the land, as public resource will be wasted after its removal. The Planning Detp has no concrete respon in the SDC, but I'll keep following this issue.

The Unwritten Unalterable Laws

Tonight's sit-in demonstration for June 4 crackdown reminds me the following dialougue in the ancient Greek tragedy Antigone, because I know the leaflet that the mothers of the June 4 victims cannot openly remember their past son or daughter:  

P. 138-139

Creon(the King): ...... Did you know the order forbidding such an act?

Antigone: I knew it, naturally. It was plain enough.

Creon: And yet you dared to contravene it?

Antigone: Yes.

    That order did not come from God. Justice,

    The dwells with the gods,below, knows no such law.

    To overrule the unwritten unalterable laws

香港國際藝術節(2)：想得太多？ ART HK 09(2)

My friend and I chatted about the works of the Art HK 09(http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/our_wch/article?mid=6022), she asked me about the themes and value of some works. She laughed at me saying I think too much and I must have a boring life because of that. Sorry I can't translate the MSN chatting history into English.

我前幾天將藝術節的照片與朋友分享(http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/our_wch/article?mid=6022)，她問我這些奇怪作品有什麼主題和價值，又說我想得太多了，因而一定活得很累。我將聊天內容放上來和大家分享：

我：這個主題比較明顯，三個小孩抬一個漢堡包 還是中國小孩
朋友：想說中國和美國的結合？

我：還有很多類似的.
三個小孩抬一個漢堡包.........你覺得如何?這樣的中西結合是得美?還是醜?
朋友：還好 能接受

我：我看這反映西方文化對中國傳統文化的衝擊.
朋友：是挺大的 

我：我們的生活,制度及至意識都是這樣不中不西,又中又西的"結合品"
朋友：以後時間長了就習慣了

我：你會接受這樣的"結合品" 嗎?不接受的話,那又要如何結合?這件作品讓我們反思自我對現實生活的看法 .又可反思這樣的"結合品"是自然形成旳呢?還是被迫造成的?是主動的還是被動的?為什麼抬的不是大人而是小孩?是我們中國的小朋友接受了漢堡而大人沒有接受嗎?
 
朋友：只要好的 有益的都可以接受 我們自己的文化也是取其精華 去其糟粕啊
朋友：我小時候也喜歡吃 長大了就不喜歡了

我：一件簡單的漢堡如此,更複雜的結合你又如何評價呢?
朋友：都有衝擊啊 還不是有別國人喜愛中國文化

我：取其精華 去其糟粕..........這是沒意義的空話.................關鍵是.......什麼精華, 什麼是糟粕; 你說的精華可能是我指的糟粕. 如此分歧由誰解決?
朋友：能留存下來的

我：呵呵. 你平日不思考這些問題. 現在看了這作品. 思考了, 那就是這作品的價值了.  
朋友：呵呵 你是想的挺多的 和你生活一定很累
 
我：反思不一定累吧.
 
朋友：你每件事情都要思考個透還不累啊

我：......

包玉剛泳池光污染 Light Pollution of Swimming Pool

可能市民增加了對光污染的認識(我早前參加了一個光污染工作坊：http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/our_wch/article?mid=5445)，我收到了南濤閣居民對包玉剛泳池光污染的投訴，指泳池燈光太光太亮，平日10點前因未入睡尚可接受，但晚上10點閉館後泳池以仍需清潔為由，這些強光要到11點30分才熄燈。

我家訪時約8點，當時居民已要拉上厚厚的窗簾布才能遮蔽燈光，見下面從居民窗口拍的照片。

我們與康文署跟進後，署方現已改變了部份燈光照射方向，在11點前清潔時間熄掉大部份燈光。我會繼續跟進這個個案，希望署方能做更好，如此既可減少滋擾，又可節省電費和環保，何樂而不為呢。

I got a case complaining the light pollution of the Pao Yue Kong Swimming Pool Complex. The complainant told me that the light of the swimming pool is too bright and even they are usually turn off at 1130pm, though the swimming pool is closed at 10pm. According to the LCSD, the they need to clean the swimming pool after it's closed.

You are know more about the situation from the following pictures, which I took from the complainant's room.

After our follow up, the LCSD has changed the direction of some the lights and turned off some of the light during the cleaning time, and they will turn off most of the light before 11pm. I'm still following this case, hoping to have further improvement, in order to decrease the nuisance and save power. After all, it's matter of environmentally friendly.

六四遊行 Demonstration for June 4

昨天是我第十三年參加要求平反六四的遊行。晚上和中學同學聚舊，有一個同學見我身上掛著平反六四的徽章，問我長年參加遊行靜坐，但六四至今未平反，會否覺得所做的都是白廢工夫，亳無意義，現在又會否後悔。

我只是淡淡的說：無怨無悔，以後還會一年年參加。

堅持就是勝利，這句口號聽起來有種自嘲的苦澀，但力量就在這堅持二字。

It's my thirteenth year to join the demonstration for June 4 movement. I has a gathering with my secondary school classmates last night. One of the classmate saw there is a june 4 badge on my cloth and asked me whether I regret because what I have been doing for so many years has no result.

I told him I felt no regret at all and I'll take part in the demonstration in the future as well.

One of the slogan of the june 4 demonstration is "persistence is victory", I believe persistence is where the power lies.
