黃竹坑：地區工作常在我心

區選失敗，民主黨窮途末路?

這次選舉，民主黨派出5人以團隊形式出戰南區(詳見：http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/kevin-wch/article?mid=1183)，雖然最後只有3人當選，但已比上屆增加一個席位；而另外兩位(華貴楊小壁、利東二羅健熙)都僅以少過一百票的票數落敗。其中羅健熙年僅23歲，面對在任十多年的現任對手，取得1478高票數，僅以27票飲恨，這是非常驕人的成績，是名副其實的雖敗猶榮(在此推介大家瀏覽他的網誌：http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/lei-tung/article?mid=544&prev=578&next=524)。

雖然沒有七一效應，楊小壁在華貴的得票其實也比上一屆多。以上兩區，再加上我們勝出的海怡西、華富二，以及我本人所屬的黃竹坑選區，民主黨的得票都反映了我們紮實的地區工作成績。

故暫不論全港形勢，僅看民主黨在南區的成績，我們完全有機會全取五席！所謂民主黨地區工作比不上民建聯的說法，在南區根本不成立。

而就算民主黨在全港的形勢，其實也並不是如這幾天傳媒所營造的氛圍那樣悲觀。我同事羅健熙，以及中文大學政治與行政學系高級導師蔡子強不約而同，撰文冷靜地分析了選後的形勢(羅健熙全文詳見：http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/lei-tung/article?mid=578　；蔡子強11月22日在明報的全文詳見：http://www.mingpaonews.com/20071122/fab1.htm)。

羅健熙提出七個情況，我轉載在這裡，各位可以參考：

1)      胡志偉取得4370票，成為全港「票王」。
2)      民主黨在中西區（六人）、黃大仙區（三人）、
　深水埔區（二人）取得全勝。
3)      南區雖然五人中只有三人當選，但議席已有增長，
　而且落選二人分別只以27及84票飲恨。南區長期被地區人士壟斷，
　各大政黨今屆都在這裏希望大展拳腳，民主黨成績是各大政黨中最好的！
4)      東區趙家賢以22歲之齡成功當選，是全港最年青的當選者。
5)      元朗區大將張賢登雖敗給民建聯姚國威，小將鄺俊宇卻以更高得票率
　成功挑戰民建聯陳兆基；黃偉賢也以大比數擊敗民建聯挑戰者。
6)      民主黨與民建聯直接交手56次，民主黨勝33次，民建聯勝21次，3次為
　其他對手得勝。這個得勝率比1994及1999年為佳，但當然及不上2003年。
7)      民主黨的年輕一代（二十至三十多歲那輩）成績不俗，有15人成功當選，
　得勝率約50%；部份亦只以些微票數落敗。

蔡子強也指出：

結果清晰可見，有做地區工作的泛民政黨，比無做地區工作的，對民建聯時戰鬥力遠為頑強。民主黨則更是目前泛民當中，唯一與對手在地區層面有力全面而非局部一拼的政黨，是阻止對手地區擴張的最大希望，所以泛民千萬不要讓民主黨這艘旗艦在選戰挫敗後的陰霾和互相指摘中倒下。

當然，民主派、民主黨這次大敗是不爭的事實。對此，我更感到任重道遠，我們民主黨南區團隊必會更加努力去爭取民主、民善民生。

We Will Get There

上星期，我的前同事Barry哥哥(詳見：http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/kevin-wch/article?mid=547)在臨投票日前，發過來一篇很有意義的歌詞(見下)。因為已和Barry很熟，我知道他送這篇歌詞的心意，是在臨投票日前鼓勵我，為我打強心針，堅定我的信念：相信我們一定能成功。現在選舉後再重讀，又別有一番體會。

我一直都很幸運，總是在最需要幫忙的時候，有很多像Barry哥哥這樣的好友雪中送炭，自動請纓幫忙。

Barry是我的核心助選團成員。為了我這次競選，盡心盡力，亳無怨言。更難得的是，他在投票日前後的幾天患病，但17日已負責安排物資，18日當天一早更負責set場，安排人手種種。最後，我們做完工作後，他還需收拾物資等等，任勞任怨，沒有一句埋怨。

我這次成功的一大關鍵，就是因為我可以完全信賴Barr y負責所有後勤物流工作，做我沒有後顧之憂，安心在前線競選。

我擁有最強的助選團陣型，他們是這次選舉的勞苦功高的幕後功臣，稍後有機會我再向各位介紹。

Barry is a quite person, but for sure I know that he sent it to encouage me to keep wroking hard, so we could get there. I was touched by this lyrics, and I re-read it after the election, the feeling is different but still touched.

I've been very lucky that there are always helpuful friends apprear when I need them most.

Barry is a core member of my election team. He tried his best to help me, without any complain. Though he was sick before the voting day, he still come to help to be the PIC of logistics and manpower. I don't need to worry about all these things and focus on my role in the front line.

I have a most "powerful" election team this time, there are realy the heros of this campaign. I am thankful to have them to be my team member. And because , now "We had got there".

Non-Chinese Residents are Members of Our Community Too

Thanks to Allan, a voter in my constituency, who reminded me that I'd been ignoring non-Chinese voters during my campaign, because there's no English information at all! (Actually, he complained three candidates in WCH, included myself, are indifferent to non-Chinese.)

I sincerely apologize for not providing English information for non-Chinese residents. I fully understand that non-Chinese residents should be treated with the same respect like Chinese.

I now promise here that I will try my best to use more English to let non-Chinese residents know what's happening in our community, because non-Chinese are members of our community too.

But I still need to sorry that due to the resource reason, I may not provide as much information in English as in Chinese. I will try to have an English abstract if I can’t translate the whole content of my blog article and the leaflet.

I cried while I knew the result, because of happiness of course. And there's another reason: the result DOES show that votes recognize and appreciate our community work! As I wrote it once in my leaflet, they scored my work with very high marks. I was touched by these voters.

I'll remember that feeling forever.

No shortcut to success but hard work. I wrote it in my election post, it's my family motto. We do believe in hard work, simply because we think there's no free lunch at all. We need to pay what we get, with hard work.

I couldn't help but cried again while I phoned my dad to tell him the result: I haven’t failed my dad. He told me to be hardworking and sincere while I started working.

I'll go to our community to thank for your support in the coming days. And I need to prepare to take up my challenge as an elected district councillor.

Winston Churchill once said in his famous speech, 'I have nothing to offer, but blood, toil, tears and sweat.'(我貢獻不了什麼，但我有的是熱血、苦功、眼淚和汗水。

I'll do my best to serve our community in the coming four years with the same spirit.

徐遠華成功當選：努力拼搏成功別無捷徑
