新加坡國際學校交通問題 Traffic Jam and Noise Nuisance at Nam Long Shan Rd

上月尾一大清早我又和運輸署的李先生到區內實地視察(李生勤於職守，不辭勞苦落區跟進。抵讚！)，因為早前跟進新加坡國際學校擴建帶出區內的老問題：南朗山道國際學校家長私家車接送學童造成擠塞。實地視察後發現新加坡國際學校的家長有三個不良習慣令交通問題更為惡化：

1. 家長在校門外泊車讓學童下車，'頂'著從警校道上來的車輛，造成車龍，不耐煩的司機會'響安'，又造成噪音在清晨時分擾民的問題；

2. 家長在校門外下車後，又在金寶花園門外U-Turning，不僅又再'頂'著南朗山道下來的車輛，且增加行人危險；

3. 也有家長/學童坐的士在校門外停車落客，同樣造成上述問題，而指揮交道的學校保安員視若無睹。

我會分別向運輸署、警方、金寶花園法團及校方跟進此事，以期改善。

After the consultation meeting in Grandview Garden last month, Mr Lee of the Transport Dept and I had a joint site visit again. We went to Nam Long Shan Roadto inspect the traffic situation in a morning. We've found at least three problems that worsening the traffic jam and the noise nuisance:

a. parents who driving their children to the SIS get off in front of the school gate rather than driving into the school building, it blocks the vehicles which coming from the Police School Road towards the Canadian International School and because of this, the impatient drivers making that cause noise nuisance;

b. after the children getting off, the driver u-turning in front of the gateway of the Grandview Garden that again blocking the vehicles coming down from the Canadian International School. It causes the above problem and potential dangers there;

c. some family and students getting off their taxi in front of the SIS, it causes the same problem as well, and the school guards who responsible for the traffic arrangement there ignoring the problem and do nothing.

I'll keep following this issue to improve the traffic there.
