單車遊行：爭取環島海濱長廊 Roll towards Green Future

我參與了不少遊行，單車遊行之前也試過，不過上星期日是第一次由南區華富邨踩單車到中環，以單車遊行的方式爭取環香港島海濱長廊。

除了域多利道有一小段暗斜路外，其實整段路並不難踩。星期天車輛也少，故不危險，這是行車路畢竟不是單車徑，我們沿途有交通警開路，方便不少，市民為了安全，還是少試為妙；這也是我們爭取單車徑的其中一個原因。

Despite the hot weather, about 40 Democratic Party members and supporters got on their bikes yesterday. They covered 10 kilometers as part of an ongoing campaign to have bicycles included in transportation planning and to promote a low-carbon environment. They started off at 9am at Wah Fu Estate in Southern District, pedaling along Victoria Road in Pok Fu Lam, and completing the journey at Star Ferry Pier in Central by around noon. Democratic Party spokesman, legislator Kam Nai-wai, said Hong Kong Island coastlines are the natural property of residents, who have high expectations they be well-planned and developed. The public is unable to walk along the coast, as there are too many buildings blocking the roads and views along the waterfront. The party urged the government to focus on the development of the promenade around Hong Kong Island, and consider working with private corporations to connect the coastal areas of Eastern, Central and Western, and Southern districts. It also hopes the government will build rest areas and bicycle lanes, and include the healthy form of transport in planning. KELLY IP

促港鐵改善交通安排 迎拉交通挑戰 Traffic Challenge

上周繼續與港鐵、運輸署等代表實地視察，因為臨時巴士總站尚未搬遷，那裡的工地已引起行人不便。因應我反映的居民意見，港鐵作出幾項改善：

1.之前有居民擔心因通道位於工地內，通道又曲折，晚上因不能「一望到尾」而擔心出現治安問題，故希望一是將位於工地內的通道移出，增加安全感；

2. 前樹仁中學對出的過路設施封閉後對警校居民頗不便，之後學校開學後會引致更多居民／學童走出馬路，險象環生，故港鐵將重開該過路設施；

3. 加派人手在路口指揮交通及行人過馬路。

I've been working closely with the MTR and the TD these days, in order to have better preparation for the traffic challenge of the beginning of 3 international schools in our community.

Some minor improvements works has been done around the work site of the new WCH bus terminus, such as the footpath in the work site has been moved aside and the crossing facility in front of the new school of Singapore International School has been re-open.

千秋悵灑同情淚，異代悲歌有所思

偶而看到關於牟宜之先生詩集《牟宜之詩》的書評（http://blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_49e53b730100coaa.html），頗想買一本來看。先引幾首書評書的詩放在這裡：

少年行
一九二九年（作者時年二十）

 

少年颇负倜傥名，
略触谈锋举座惊。

1931年，日寇入侵，二十二岁的诗人拍案而起，投笔从戎：

愛看青青雨後枝(2) New Branch(2)

家中的文竹冒出令我好生驚喜的新枝後(http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/our_wch/article?mid=10606)，為了令整盆文竹煥然一新，我剪掉了全部舊枝。最近終於等到再有新枝生冒出來，而且生長速度比上次更快，也長得更茁壯。看來，現在這盆還顯得光秃秃的文竹很快就可以枝繁葉茂了。還是那句話：每天看著新枝一點點茁壯成長，這已足已令我每天感到很開心。

I bought this plant in Lunar New Year(http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/our_wch/article?mid=10606). I cut all the old branch in order to make it have new ones, and recently it finally grow up another new branch. It really makes me happy see new branch growing up like this.

黃竹坑巴士總站搬遷最新進展 Latest Progress of the Removal of WCH Bus Terminal

因為國際學校陸續開學，最近我都忙著應付開學時可能出現的交通擠塞。港鐵剛出了新巴士總站的巴士泊位，詳請見單張，我不贅述。

另外最近收到頗多金寶花園及南濤閣居民的對臨時巴士總站工程的投訴，單張下半部份亦簡述了我的跟進。歡迎大家多與我聯絡，使我能和港鐵、運輸署等即時跟進，以迅速作出改善。

This leaflet is about the latest progress of the removal of WCH bus terminal. The parking spaces are designed for different buses, you may refer to the picture below. I've been working hard to this issue, especially when the international schools are beginning their new school year, we are going to have a big challenge.
