爭取南區地鐵隧道方案簽名 Signature Campaign for an Underground SIL

My party launched a signature campaign in Aberdeen yesterday to fight for an underground SIL, and we urged the SIL should be put into service before 2015.

The main reason of this proposal is that(borrow Mr Kam Nai Wai's phase) "we wanted to protect the beauty & silence of the Southern District. The proposal by the MTRC (which the MTR Line will be built in stilts) will certainly damage the environment and cause nuisance to residents!"(see:http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/ah-kam/article?mid=321)

我面容憔悴了一點，因為前兩天著涼了。這兩天喉嚨發炎，乾咳且帶痰，睡也睡不好。

不要怕 Don't be afraid

I would like to share a story with you today, a story always appear in my mind when I have to make serious decision. It's a story between a father and a son.

There were a father and a son lived in a remote village. The father gave a note to his son while the young man decided to go out to fight for his own dream. "Don't be afraid", the father wrote.

After some decades, the son returned his hometown. His father had passed away, but he left another note to his son: "Don't regret".

和大家分享一個貼在我中學時的一本日記簿裡故事，一個當我需下重要決定而猶豫不決時經常想起的故事：

話說一條偏僻的小山村裡，父親在年輕的兒子出城工作時，送給他一張紙條。兒子到城裡後，打開紙條，裡面寫著三個字：不要怕。

幾十年後，兒子告老回鄉，父親已經逝世，留下另一張紙條，裡面寫著四個字：不要後悔。

黃竹坑配水庫 Wong Chuk Hang Reservoir

因收到南朗山道上面配水庫一個小個案，上星期再次特意上去看看那裡的設施：前陣子設施損壞，現應已維修；居民又指附近雜草叢生。

I went to the Wong Chuk Hang Reservoir last week to check the facility and to follow up a case which resident complaint the Reservoir is full of weeds.

早上有不少居民在此晨運，我上來時大約兩點半，上面空無一人，天氣好熱.....

前陣子損壞的設施果然已維修妥當。

Residents usually come here to do exercise in the morning. I arrived around 2:30pm , nobody there. It's quite hot.

The broken facility has been replaced by new one.

這裡就是居民所指雜草叢生，滋生蚊蟲的地點。

So, this is the place where resident complaints there is full of weeds.

回來時，碰上國際學校放學，出現了一陣子車龍。

There's a car queue at the Nam Long Shan Road while I going back to office, because the parents took up their children in the two international schools there.

 

 

 

 

聯署支持以地下隧道興建南區地鐵：可行又可取的替代方案

要求盡快興建南區地鐵！我們認為：以地下隧道形式，而不是以高架橋興建南區地鐵是既可行又更可取的替代方案。

　　　　　　　　　　　架空鐵路　永無寧日

香港鐵路有限公司決定興建南港島線，我們對此非常歡迎，並深切希望南港島線能早日通車、方便南區居民。

惟對其提出的初步方案，我們亦深表關注。我們要求「以隧道形式興建南港島線」，反對「架空鐵路」的模式。原因如下：

　1) 影響安寧：
　　架空鐵路模式勢必構成噪音滋擾，嚴重影響南區素有安寧。隧道方案可解決此問題。

　2) 造成震盪：
　　 鐵路沿線會造成強烈震盪情況，影響附近居民日常生活。隧道方案可避免這些影響。

　3) 破壞景觀：
　 　南港島線以架空模式興建，猶如「火龍」般由海洋公園開始劃破黃竹坑，並伸延至鴨月利洲方始消失。南區現正有大量旅遊發展項目，日後每兩、三分鐘便有列車在架空路段經過，對南區景觀構成極大破壞！隧道方案可保南區漂亮美景。

　4) 忽視環保：
　　架空鐵路將需要大量砍伐樹木，使空氣質素變差；該處亦有不同雀鳥棲生，砍伐樹木將破壞生態環境；架空鐵路亦影響部份地區日光照射；以上各項，可見架空鐵路不能與區內自然環境配合；隧道方案可保育南區環境。

　5) 影響旅遊規劃：
　　 南區已計劃多項發展計劃，並將以旅遊發展為南區之主軸，由黃竹坑至香港仔均有不同旅遊景點。架空鐵路方案破壞景觀和造成噪音，將會對旅遊發展造成不良影響。

　6) 影響樓宇結構：
　　 現時建議在漁安苑地基下三米經過，屋苑居民極為擔心樓宇結構會因此被影響。若使用隧道方案，將可保障居民利益，釋除居民疑慮。

　7) 不便居民使用：
　　黃竹坑站擬設於黃竹坑村舊址，深灣居民（如雅濤閣、南濤閣）需要步行很長時間才能到達乘搭港鐵。若能以隧道興建，將能在地底連接深灣屋苑，方便居民使用。

我們支持盡快興建南港島線，並要求以隧道形式興建。

推廣器官捐贈 Promotion of Organ Donation

Organ donation saves lives! I joined the Youth Committee of my party to promote the organ donation in Causeway Bay yesterday.

We Chinese have traditional thinking that we must preserve the whole body after we die, I think it's one of the main reasons that less people donate their organ in HK.

It seemed the above thinking is not dominating any more. I observed that people who knew what we were doing accepted the organ donation, especially for young people. They got our leaflets and came up to get the donation card.

The traditional way of thinking and attitude changes with time. Chinese people don't accept cremation some decades ago, but it's generally accepted. We still need to do a lot of work to make organ donation acceptable by the society, in order to help those who longing for the organ transplant operation.

上星期六帶團旅行，和陽光玩遊戲後，第二天下午就在羅鑼灣近SOGO幫民主黨青年委員會推廣器官損贈。幸好高樓大廈熟遮住了陽光，不致沐浴於陽光之下。

出乎意料以外，不少市民都沒有傳統的"死要全屍"的忌諱，算是頗踴躍地接過甚或過來拿我們的資料並即場登記。

時代畢竟不同了，以前中國人也不接受火葬，現在已視為平常事。希望器官損贈也能如此，以幫助更多急切等待器官移植的長期病患者。

這些宣傳板字語是我建議的，可惜並不成功，沒能吸引情侶過來拍照。我們要好好檢討才是了......

父親節一日遊 Local Trip for Father's Day (2)

We have great whether these days! The Sun welcomed us with its greatest passion,  we had lot of fun during our trip last Saturday.

這兩天天氣大好! 我們星期六的父親節一日遊簡直是"和陽光玩遊戲"，我在車上和團友說，今天的太陽伯伯太熱情招呼我們了，甚至弄得有位街坊有點不適，幸好最後一切順利，開心完成旅程。

不過回時安排有點失當：這次和以往一樣，回程時在樹仁中學前下車，但我沒考慮天氣太熱，應該讓車開到深灣的百佳側邊才對。故應該安排兩個下車地點才是，下次我要注意了。

我相信這樣的親情(1) Love between Father and Son(1)

不好意思，錯過了父親節的post。和大家分享下面一段我回覆網友的話(提及信主及傳統的祭祖風俗) , 明天是我們的父親節旅行，這篇post權當遲來的父親節紀念吧(見: http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/our_wch/article?new=1&mid=2769 ) :

中學時我很反叛，有同學一直想游說我信主。我那時很抗拒，說過一些很狂妄的話，現在較會以平常心看待此事。

我沒有濃厚的祭祖觀念，但相信慎終追遠是非常自然的心態。有一次一位親戚去世，我陪爸爸去殯儀館，坦白說沒有什麼感觸；但我突然有個想法：如果躺在棺木裡的是我旁邊的爸爸，我會有怎樣的心情?!

一想起這樣的念頭，我的眼淚突然不由自主地湧了出來。

我相信這樣的親情。

Last Sunday is Father's Day. I would like to share a profound feeling with you. It's between my father and me.

I was quite a “provocative-thinker” while I was a secondary school boy. I had been wondering the sincerity in people, doubting the so-called justice people believe, and questioning the existence of god. I even had made some offensive statements.

Now I'm a much moderate person. Hope it's a good change.

I don't have a strong sense of traditional ancestor worship, but I do believe it's quite a natural feeling to love and remember the family members who had passed away, especially for those who we had the very close relationship.

I remember once I went to a funeral home with my father. To be frank, I didn’t even feel sorry for the dead and his family. But a thought struck my mind: what would I feel if the one lying in the coffin was my father?!

The tears suddenly came out and I couldn’t help it but cried.

This is the love between a father and a son. It's the love I believe in people.

國際學校和黃竹坑交通 International Schools and Traffic Problem in WCH

我今早不到七點半就到了黃竹坑，和區議會幾位同僚一起到新加坡國際學校視察。事關樹仁中學被殺校後，新加坡國際學校得到了樹仁中學的校址，用作其擴展中學部的校舍。(我去年的跟進，見：http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/our_wch/photo?pid=285&fid=2)

區內因國際學校私家車及校巴接送學生引致的交通問題已由來已久，這次新加坡國際學校增加學生數目，故區議會特別關注將來的樹仁中學校址會否引致警校道更嚴重的擠塞。通常塞車情況出現在七點多，故才有今天這麼早的現場視察。

Some SDC members and I went to visit the Singapore International School(SIS) this morning. We came to WCH before 730am in order to inspect the traffic situation at Police School Road and Name Long Shan Road. (My previous follow up, pls see: http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/our_wch/photo?pid=285&fid=2)

Shu Yan colleage had closed and it's site will be taken over by the SIS to have a building for it's secondary students. Because there's a long exiting problem caused by the school bus and the parents' car in WCH, and there will be more students in the future, the SDC worries that the situation will be getting worse. So we pay a visit to the SIS and listen to its draft design of traffic control arrangement, hope to help to solve the problem.

You could see the long-queue cars at Police School Road, almost all of them are waiting to get into the SIS and the Canadian International School at Nam Long Shan Road.

將來新加坡國際學校將加建通道，將該校與樹仁校舍連接成一體，將來所有私家車將由樹仁中學進出。

The SIS plans to bridge the two schools together, all car go to and leave the SIS will need to enter and leave from the entrance at Shu Yan college.

 

 

三更有夢書當枕 Lifetime Bookworm

我答應了幾位網友，在blog裡寫多些自己的生活，而不只是寫工作工作又工作，沉悶又枯燥，其中一位朋友誇張地說：「直頭係趕客」

於是，這兩天我加多了一些生活的內容。

就如我跟網友解釋那樣，這樣做我頗有壓力，我這樣答她：

「其實,我係驚講太多私人嘢,會被人話我唔俾心機做地區工作....會有壓力架.

不過,我既地區工作都算OK,講少少自己嘢應該冇問題既.」

今天再透露一下我的生活實況：我說我喜歡看書(見：http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/our_wch/article?mid=635)，到底喜歡到什麼程度呢，大家可以看看我的床頭。

「三更有夢書當枕」是琦君的書名，她和余光中、李敖等台灣作家的散文和短詩，曾伴我度過年少青蔥的時光。就如琦君這本書一樣，絕大部份的內容都已忘了，但我相信，「細雨潤無聲」，他們作品裡的溫情和熱血都已化為我生命中不可或缺的一部份，是徐遠華之為徐遠華的血與骨。

我很感激，在成長的歷程中，除了生活中那麼多的好朋友，還有這些作品，滋潤過我年少無知的心靈。

並沒有刻意學他們，但沒想到，十多年過後，我達到了琦君向往的境界：「三更有夢書當枕」

香港仔/黃竹坑/香港的名稱由來 Origin of Hong Kong / Wong Chuk Hang / Aberdeen

香港仔昔日是香港一個主要轉口港。古時香港島生產的石磚，大多先運到香港仔的海灣，以便運到廣州，所以該海灣取名為「石排灣」。到了明朝，石排灣也兼營香樹製品的轉運。從沙田及沙螺灣等地生產的製品會經尖沙咀用小艇送到石排灣，再用俗稱「大眼雞」的艚船運至廣州。傳說明朝建立的香港村（即今日的黃竹坑）因而得名。

　1841年，一批英軍登陸香港仔，問當地居民所在何地。當地居民回答Hong Kong（香港），因這一帶是轉運香樹製品的港口，是謂之香港。此後，英軍即將整個島嶼稱為香港島，這地則被稱為香港仔。後來港英政府將此地命名為鴨巴甸（Aberdeen，香港仔的英文名），以紀念當時英國外交大臣鴨巴甸勳爵。

　香港日治時期，香港仔曾被改名為元香港，代表「香港的起源」的意思。至於香港仔的轉口事業隨著清朝初期的遷界則日漸式微。

而筆者會對「香港仔」這一地域名詞表示景仰，表示敬意，還因為它與中華民族現代史上的另外兩個哲人的關係。她總讓我有所感悟。

　一是中華人民共和國國歌《義勇軍進行曲》的詞作者田漢，他在抗戰時期曾在香港居住，更為香港寫過一首歌，他眼中的香港仔和香港是那樣的美：「再會吧，香港！你是這樣使我難忘！你筲箕灣的月色，升旗山的斜陽，皇后大道的燈火，香港仔的漁光。淺水灣的碧波蕩漾，大埔松林的猿聲慘傷……」60多年後，再聽這首歌，仍會為香港的月色斜陽、燈火漁光、碧波松林、王台禪院、夏蘭歸帆的美景所沉醉。

　另有一位哲人是「五四元老、新文化的保母」，中國近代著名民主革命家、教育家、科學家、北京大學第一任校長蔡元培。他現在長眠在香港仔的華人永遠墳場。

　去年，台灣歷史學家、作家李敖進行神州之旅最後一站香港訪問時，曾專程到在香港仔華人永遠墳場的蔡元培墓地拜祭。李敖在祭拜後，頗有感觸地說：「大家很難想像，在香港居然有這麼一個有意義的墳場，卻常常被忽略掉了。」

作者在後文指「香港仔」不是隨便可用的專用名詞，並視曾蔭權、黃仁龍和劉德華為典型的「香港仔」。是否成功者才配用此名詞，這就見仁見智了。

徐遠華參觀防癌會復康中心 Visiting the Anti-Cancer Rehabilitation Centre

上星期四我和區議會幾位同僚去了參觀位於黃竹坑南朗山道的防癌會(http://hkacs.org.hk/content/)，這個會將以前的南朗醫院改建成為綜合性的療養院，以後這個中心再也不是以前南朗醫院那種只做癌症病人善終服務的醫院了。坦白說，頗多區內居民，尤其是長者對此頗有忌諱。

這個新中心是個綜合性的療養中心，善終服務只是其中一部份，而且中心裝設得像一個家似的(順代一提，收費不菲)。聽負責人說，可能考慮辦一個開放日，區內居民可以參觀，我想這有助消除居民的疑慮。

因為有深灣道滬江維多利亞學校的噪音問題的經驗，故這次我也特別訊問中心這方面的問題，中心指早前已特別為此在散熱器那邊加裝了四面的圍牆，令影響減到最少。相比起滬江學校，這個中心的位置離雅濤閣較遠，希望不會有同樣的問題。

The former Nam Long Hospital has been changed to this Centre, which dedicated to providing comprehensive care services for cancer patients, but not only for hospice care.

 

 

閒讀明清小品文

深夜無事時，最喜歡擺弄家中藏書，東翻西弄，頻頻瀏覽，最是令我開心。前陣子就翻出了這本明清小品文文集，重讀了幾篇很喜歡的鄭板橋小品，貼上來和各位分享。
